Job Requirements
- Must be 21 years of age
- hold a valid driver’s license
- pass a criminal background check
- pass a drug screen
- obtain a food handlers permit
Job Qualifications
- Knowledge of preparing healthy meals for a large number of people
- ability to follow directions
- ability to read and calculate varied menus
- knowledge of safe food preparation and handling
- effective communication skills
- previous experience in cooking is preferred
Job Duties
- Cook and clean daily meals for up to 100 children and staff
- prepare healthy meals following safety and nutritional guidelines
- follow directions and read varied menus accurately
- maintain cleanliness and sanitation in the kitchen area
- work some evenings, weekends, and holidays
- perform additional duties as assigned
- collaborate effectively with department staff
