Job Requirements

  • valid California Food Handler's Card
  • 4 plus years of professional kitchen experience
  • ability to multitask in a high-volume setting while maintaining quality
  • open AM and PM availability
  • physical ability to carry, lift, push, and pull up to 50 pounds
  • ability to bend and stoop regularly
  • ability to work with grills, ovens, and stovetops

Job Qualifications

  • 4 plus years of professional kitchen experience including hot line, cold station, and pizza prep
  • expertise in cooking proteins to precise temperatures
  • strong knife skills and butchery knowledge
  • ability to multitask in a high-volume setting maintaining quality
  • valid California Food Handler's Card
  • open AM and PM availability

Job Duties

  • Maintain high standards of personal appearance and grooming which include wearing the proper uniform
  • have thorough knowledge of menus and the preparation required according to hotel standards
  • comply with certification requirements including Food Handlers Safety
  • prepare food items according to guest orders following recipe cards and presentation standards
  • start food items that are prepared ahead of time without exceeding estimated needs
  • maintain post on kitchen line during operating hours ensuring efficiency, productivity, and quality
  • prepare food for Banquets following specifications of Banquet Event Orders
  • operate, maintain, and clean kitchen equipment including deep fryer, broiler, stove, steamer, food processor, mixer, slicer, oven, steam table, tilt kettle, waffle iron, and flat top grill
  • assist with kitchen cleaning and organization
  • restock items as needed throughout the shift
  • practice safe work habits to avoid injury
