Job Requirements
- valid California Food Handler's Card
- 4 plus years of professional kitchen experience
- ability to multitask in a high-volume setting while maintaining quality
- open AM and PM availability
- physical ability to carry, lift, push, and pull up to 50 pounds
- ability to bend and stoop regularly
- ability to work with grills, ovens, and stovetops
Job Qualifications
- 4 plus years of professional kitchen experience including hot line, cold station, and pizza prep
- expertise in cooking proteins to precise temperatures
- strong knife skills and butchery knowledge
- ability to multitask in a high-volume setting maintaining quality
- valid California Food Handler's Card
- open AM and PM availability
Job Duties
- Maintain high standards of personal appearance and grooming which include wearing the proper uniform
- have thorough knowledge of menus and the preparation required according to hotel standards
- comply with certification requirements including Food Handlers Safety
- prepare food items according to guest orders following recipe cards and presentation standards
- start food items that are prepared ahead of time without exceeding estimated needs
- maintain post on kitchen line during operating hours ensuring efficiency, productivity, and quality
- prepare food for Banquets following specifications of Banquet Event Orders
- operate, maintain, and clean kitchen equipment including deep fryer, broiler, stove, steamer, food processor, mixer, slicer, oven, steam table, tilt kettle, waffle iron, and flat top grill
- assist with kitchen cleaning and organization
- restock items as needed throughout the shift
- practice safe work habits to avoid injury
