Job Requirements

  • four plus years of professional kitchen experience including hot line, cold station, and pizza prep
  • valid California food handler's card
  • ability to multitask in a high-volume setting while maintaining quality
  • open availability for morning and evening shifts
  • must be able to carry, lift, push, and pull up to 50 pounds
  • must be able to bend and stoop regularly
  • must be able to work safely with grills, ovens, and stovetops

Job Qualifications

  • four plus years of professional kitchen experience including hot line, cold station, and pizza prep
  • expertise in cooking proteins to precise temperatures including meat and fish
  • strong knife skills and butchery knowledge
  • recipe adherence
  • valid California food handler's card
  • ability to multitask in high-volume settings while maintaining quality
  • open availability for morning and evening shifts

Job Duties

  • maintain high standards of personal appearance and grooming including wearing proper uniform
  • have thorough knowledge of menus and preparation according to hotel standards
  • comply with certification requirements including food handlers safety
  • prepare food items according to guest orders maintaining consistent quality following recipe cards and presentation standards
  • start food items prepared ahead of time without exceeding estimated needs
  • maintain post on kitchen line to prepare food to order with efficiency and quality
  • prepare food for banquets as per banquet event order specifications
  • operate, maintain, and clean kitchen equipment safely and properly
  • understand ingredients, products, and equipment thoroughly
  • clean and maintain station practicing good safety and sanitation
  • assist with cleaning and organizing kitchen and equipment
  • restock items as needed throughout shift
  • practice safe work habits to avoid injury to self or others
