Job Requirements

  • must be at least 18 years old
  • completion of company training including new hire orientation, food sanitation, customer service, and safety
  • ability to stand and walk for extended periods
  • capable of lifting up to 50 pounds occasionally
  • ability to work in environments with varying temperatures and noise levels
  • physical ability to perform tasks such as reaching, stooping, kneeling, and crouching
  • willingness to participate in team efforts to increase customer satisfaction and sales

Job Qualifications

  • high school diploma or GED
  • one to three months related experience or training in culinary or food service
  • knowledge of cooking terminology and food safety practices
  • ability to use cooking utensils and kitchen equipment
  • strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • ability to read, write, and comprehend simple instructions in English
  • basic math skills including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division

Job Duties

  • prepare, process, package, and stock products according to Fresh Foods Standards
  • provide excellent customer service to satisfy and exceed customer expectations
  • clean and maintain work areas to uphold hygiene and safety standards
  • unload stock and reload salvage products following Fresh Foods protocols
  • participate in required training including food sanitation, safety, and customer service
  • apply cooking terminology, use various kitchen equipment, and employ proper cooking methods
  • use portion control tools and garnish food appropriately
