Job Requirements
- High school education or equivalent
- Minimum three months experience in similar role
- Basic understanding of customer service principles and restaurant operations
- Ability to handle cash transactions accurately
- Proficiency in English communication both oral and written
- Ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to handle stressful and emotional customer interactions
- Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs, stand for prolonged periods, and move up to 300 feet regularly
- Capability to work in varying temperatures including freezer environments
- Manual dexterity to manage food and beverage trays
- Ability to hear, see, and communicate clearly in a bustling restaurant setting
Job Qualifications
- High school education or equivalent
- Previous experience in similar position of 3 months or longer
- Basic knowledge of customer service principles
- Understanding of the food server function and restaurant operations
- Knowledge of standard cash-handling procedures
- Fluency in oral and written English
- Ability to perform multiple tasks simultaneously
- Highly organized with strong attention to detail
- Tact and understanding in handling customer service problems
Job Duties
- Greet and take food and drink orders from customers
- Serve orders and accommodate special needs or requests
- Maintain attentiveness to customers throughout dining experience
- Perform restocking and cleaning duties including opening and closing sidework
- Memorize menu items, recipes, and daily specials to answer questions and make recommendations
- Maintain cleanliness standards in restaurant and service areas
- Control guest checks by following check-use procedures and accurately document orders
- Handle guest payments ensuring accuracy and security
- Attend pre-meal and departmental meetings to enhance communications and knowledge
- Respond to customer inquiries and comments in person and on phone
- Present a clean and professional appearance
- Maintain friendly, cheerful, and courteous demeanor at all times
- Perform other duties as assigned by management
