Job Requirements
- Must be certified as a Nursing Assistant with the State of Louisiana
- Must be people-oriented individual
- Must have good communication skills
- Must be able to work with a diverse group of people
- Must have computer skills appropriate to fulfill electronic documentation
- Ability to work variable shifts including nights and weekends

- Experience in long-term care or similar environment preferred
- Strong observational and problem-solving skills
Job Duties
- Attend to all resident personal hygiene and personal care needs and report changes in condition to nursing or household leadership
- Provide continuous direct and indirect resident care as assigned or directed by supervisor
- Answer resident call lights and respond to emergency call lights
- Provide restorative therapy under the leadership of therapy professionals
- Function as the residents' closest advocate ensuring protection from abuse and neglect
- Practice effective communication techniques with residents, visitors, and coworkers
- Maintain appropriate documentation of care as policy and regulation require
