Job Requirements
- Class A CDL license or Class B CDL license with air brake endorsement
- valid medical certificate or ability to obtain upon employment
- ability to pass MVR screen per company standards
- ability to obtain sales-related licensure or registration if required
- ability to read, write, and perform basic arithmetic
- minimum age of 21 years
- ability to comply with DOT and CDL regulations
Job Qualifications
- Valid Class A or Class B CDL license with air brake endorsement
- valid medical certificate or ability to obtain one
- ability to pass MVR screen
- basic literacy and arithmetic skills
- ability to comply with DOT and CDL regulations
- minimum age of 21 years
- sales-related licensure or registration if required by law
- preferred experience driving semi-truck or trailer
- preferred certification from a driving school
- preferred experience with in-home delivery or retail customer service
- preferred experience operating forklift or Moffett
Job Duties
- Provides smart customer service by following Lowe's customer service policies, procedures, and programs
- assists customers in locating, demonstrating, selecting, carrying, and loading merchandise
- responds knowledgeably and promptly to customer and employee questions
- communicates information regarding stock, special orders, product features, benefits, applications, and warranties
- contacts customers about delivery or coordinates with drivers for customer communication
- plans delivery activities, prints loading tickets, and delivers merchandise on schedule
- pulls merchandise, builds and bands delivery loads, loads trucks according to payload and order
- inspects products before loading or assisting in loading
- matches loaded items with invoices verifying descriptions and quantities
- ensures loads are safe, secure, and comply with DOT regulations
- updates delivery and route status for tracking
- unloads, installs, and tests appliances upon delivery
- conducts daily vehicle inspections and ensures maintenance and cleanliness
- completes DOT reporting for certification and compliance
- detects signs of theft or security risks and reports to management
- adheres to housekeeping standards to maintain cleanliness and organization
- maintains a safe work environment including hazard identification and securing areas
- follows safety requirements such as top stock safety and equipment use
- operates store equipment as needed
- performs additional duties as assigned
