Job Requirements
- Class A CDL License for multi-unit CMV or Class B CDL License for single-unit CMV with air brake endorsement
- Valid medical certificate or ability to obtain one upon employment
- Ability to pass MVR screen per company requirements
- Ability to obtain any required sales-related licensure or registration
- Ability to read, write, and perform basic arithmetic
- Must be 21 years of age
- Ability to comply with DOT and CDL regulations
Job Qualifications
- Class A CDL License or Class B CDL License with air brake endorsement
- Valid medical certificate or ability to obtain one
- Ability to pass MVR screen and comply with DOT and CDL regulations
- Ability to read, write, and perform basic arithmetic
- Minimum age of 21 years
- 1 year experience driving semi-truck/trailer or certification from driving school preferred
- 6 months experience in home delivery or retail customer service preferred
- 3 months experience operating forklift or Moffett preferred
Job Duties
- Provides SMART customer service through daily execution of Lowe's customer service policies, procedures and programs
- Seeks out customers to understand needs and assists in locating, demonstrating, selecting, carrying, and/or loading merchandise
- Listens to and responds knowledgeably and promptly to customer and employee questions
- Demonstrates sincere appreciation to customers
- Communicates information to customers regarding stock, special order merchandise, feature benefits, application, and warranty information
- Contacts customers regarding delivery or coordinates with truck driver to call the customer
- Plans delivery activities, prints loading tickets, and delivers merchandise according to schedule to ensure on-time delivery
- Pulls merchandise, builds and bands delivery loads, and loads trucks within payload according to delivery order
- Inspects condition of products before loading or assisting customer with loading
- Matches items on invoice with quantities loaded by verifying descriptions, items, and model numbers
- Ensures loads are safe, secure, and within Department of Transportation regulations
- Updates delivery and route status on system for tracking purposes
- Unloads, installs, and tests appliances upon delivery
- Verifies daily vehicle inspections and reports, ensures cleanliness, maintenance, and repairs for delivery vehicles and other equipment
- Completes Department of Transportation reporting to maintain DOT certification and CDL compliance
- Detects signs of shoplifting, theft, and other security risks and communicates them to management or Asset Protection
- Ensures compliance with housekeeping standards and maintains cleanliness and organization of store and working areas
- Maintains a safe and secure work environment including conducting daily safety reviews and noting hazards
- Adheres to all safety requirements relevant to job duties including use of safety devices and operating equipment
- Operates store equipment as needed such as phones, computers, CCTV, and machinery
- Performs other duties as assigned
