Job Requirements
- Must be at least 16 years old
- Ability to lift and carry objects weighing 50-75 pounds frequently
- Full range of senses including vision, hearing, and smell to read labels and assess product quality
- Ability to stoop, squat, and kneel
- Capability to walk short distances repeatedly
- Ability to stand for extended periods
- Willingness to work in cold environments such as coolers and freezers
- Availability to work up to 24 hours per week including one required weekend shift
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Previous cashier or retail experience is a plus but not required
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work with a diverse customer base
- Basic math skills for handling transactions
- Attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to perform physical tasks such as lifting and standing for prolonged periods
Job Duties
- Provide exceptional customer service by greeting customers with a smile and thanking them for their business
- Accurately scan groceries and complete all transactions efficiently
- Carefully and efficiently bag groceries
- Perform price checks when needed and restock returned products promptly
- Follow and comply with all health and sanitation procedures and adhere to safe work practices
- Respond promptly to customer needs and questions, requesting assistance when necessary to ensure quick checkout
- Show respect to customers while maintaining healthy boundaries
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Store Manager or Manager on Duty
