Job Requirements
- Must be at least 16 years of age
- ability to perform essential physical tasks including lifting up to 50 pounds with assistance
- ability to communicate effectively with customers and team members
- ability to read and comprehend safety rules and procedural manuals
- must have reliable attendance and punctuality
- availability to work a flexible schedule including nights and weekends
- ability to use technology such as computer keyboard, mouse, and Epicor system
Job Qualifications

- ability to read and interpret safety and procedural documents
- effective verbal communication skills
- basic mathematical skills including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division
- ability to apply common sense and problem-solving skills
- willingness to work flexible hours including weekends
- familiarity with retail point-of-sale systems beneficial
Job Duties
- Operate cash register by scanning merchandise and processing transactions
- engage customers through suggestive selling and promote Ace Rewards membership
- process refunds and issue merchandise credits
- use loss prevention techniques to reduce shortages
- maintain familiarity with ads, rebates, and special pricing
- answer telephones and route calls appropriately
- greet customers and assist with merchandise inquiries
- help locate merchandise online and in-store
- stock and maintain product displays according to company plan-o-gram
- assist with color matching and paint mixing
- collect carts and assist customers with carrying merchandise
- perform service area tasks such as chain, rope, key, and glass cutting, screen repair, and knife sharpening
- follow nightly maintenance checklists for store cleanliness and recovery
- refer customer complaints to management
- maintain regular and prompt attendance and flexible work schedule including weekends
