Job Duties
- operates cash register by scanning merchandise, engaging customers through suggestive selling, proper tendering of each transaction, and thanking customers for shopping at Great Lakes Ace
- processes refunds and issues in-store merchandise credit for returned goods
- uses loss prevention techniques to reduce shortages and prevent shoplifting
- follows company policies and procedures for all transactions
- actively promotes Ace Rewards membership benefits to customers
- greets customers and assists by answering merchandise questions using the S.A.L.E.S. process
- stocks and maintains merchandise displays according to company plan-o-gram
- assists with paint color matching and mixing
- carries merchandise out to customer cars if needed
- assists customers in service areas such as key cutting, glass cutting, screen repair, and knife sharpening
- follows the nightly maintenance checklist for store cleanliness and recovery
- refers customer complaints to appropriate personnel for resolution
