Job Duties
- Greet each guest using both verbal and non-verbal communication in a positive manner
- process purchases using scanner technology or electronic keypad
- properly bag purchases including wrapping breakable items where necessary
- up-sell to guests using established and appropriate procedures
- process final purchases with proper cash handling or credit card transactions
- close each transaction with a friendly greeting and invite the guest to return
- assist guests on sales floor with purchases when not processing transactions
- utilize product and pricing knowledge to satisfy guest inquiries and create up-sell opportunities
- replenish stock of durable and perishable goods as needed
- answer shop phone system and respond to guest service needs professionally
- assist in monitoring guest activity and creating excitement with superior guest service
- pre-pack items for sale and gift-wrap items as necessary
- assist with inventory control and management
- offer product samples to guests
