Job Requirements
- Be at least 16 years of age
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods
- Ability to lift and/or move up to 40 pounds regularly
- Ability to reach from 6 to 72 inches
- Basic reading and writing skills in English
- Basic mathematical skills including addition and subtraction
- Availability to participate in and complete required training
- Willingness to work flexible part-time hours
- Ability to perform physical tasks including climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, and crouching occasionally
Job Qualifications
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions in English
- Ability to write simple correspondence in English
- Effective presentation skills in one-on-one and small group situations
- Ability to perform basic addition and subtraction involving two digit numbers
- Completion of company training including new hire orientation, customer service network, safety, bagger technical skills, and product knowledge
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved instructions
Job Duties
- Take excellent care of customers by satisfying their needs and exceeding expectations
- Follow correct bagging procedures to ensure merchandise safety and customer convenience
- Provide carryout assistance and parcel pickup services to facilitate easy transportation of purchases
- Load merchandise into customer vehicles carefully while maintaining safety standards
- Return shopping carts to the store to keep the parking and shopping area organized
- Participate in required training programs to improve customer service skills and product knowledge
- Work collaboratively with team members to enhance overall customer satisfaction and sales
