Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent certifications, education, training and/or experience
- Work history with financial services, banking, accounting and/or bookkeeping principles and practices
- Experience with cash handling, deposits
- Experience providing services to a diverse population
- Excellent customer service skills, as well as excellent oral and written communication
- Strong organizational skills and demonstrated ability to handle multiple tasks in a stressful environment
- Effectively utilize Microsoft Office with specific emphasis on Microsoft Excel
Job Qualifications

- Associate's degree in accounting or business preferred
- Experience in higher education or business office setting preferred
- Experience with PeopleSoft or similar student information system preferred
- Knowledge of system enhancements, software upgrades, and project implementation preferred
Job Duties
- Serve as primary point of contact to students and college customers in the office, by phone, or electronically
- Take tuition payments and post to the student or payer’s appropriate account
- Reconcile cash and prepare deposits
- Maintain accurate files by running daily reports and batches from various accounting systems
- Collaborate with faculty, staff, administrators, and suppliers to respond to student needs and resolve issues
- Refer students and customers to appropriate college personnel or agencies
- Professionally promote the college to support its strategic goal and vision
