Job Requirements
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- Ability to stand, walk, and perform physical tasks for extended periods
- Ability to lift and move up to 30 pounds regularly and occasionally up to 50 pounds
- Must be reliable and punctual with good attendance
- Must comply with company grooming and dress policies
- Ability to communicate effectively in English with customers and associates
- Willingness to complete all required training including food safety and customer service
- Ability to handle multiple tasks and adapt to shifting priorities
- Must be able to work part-time hours as scheduled
- Must follow all safety and sanitation regulations
- Ability to work in a moderate to loud environment with exposure to variable temperatures
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
- One to three months of related experience or training preferred
- Ability to read, write, and comprehend instructions in English
- Good interpersonal and communication skills
- Willingness to participate in required training programs
- Basic math skills including adding and subtracting two-digit numbers
- Ability to follow detailed instructions and safety protocols
- Positive attitude and commitment to customer service excellence
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment and adapt to change
- Basic knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices
Job Duties
- Take excellent care of customers by satisfying their needs and exceeding expectations
- Prepare, process, package, and stock products according to Fresh Foods Standards
- Provide exceptional customer service by engaging customers on the sales floor and counter
- Follow food safety policies and handle products to ensure freshness and quality
- Maintain cleanliness of work areas including prep rooms, coolers, and floors
- Unload stock and reload salvage products according to standards
- Communicate effectively with customers and associates regarding requests and promotions
- Operate necessary equipment to prepare and portion products
- Decorate and prepare bakery items and create party trays according to customer specifications
- Check and maintain product temperatures and refrigeration
- Stock shelves and displays orderly to maximize sales and minimize shrink
- Respond promptly to customer requests and escalate issues when necessary
- Adhere to company policies regarding appearance, safety, and conduct
- Assist fellow associates with daily operational tasks
- Maintain accurate records and complete paperwork as required
- Adapt to varying situations and shifting priorities with flexibility
- Follow all safety regulations and report unsafe conditions immediately
