Job Requirements
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- Available to work part-time hours
- Exceptional interpersonal skills
- Willingness to complete required training
- Ability to communicate clearly in English
- Ability to lift and move up to 30 pounds occasionally up to 50 pounds
- Ability to stand, walk, reach, and handle tasks requiring manual dexterity
- Reliable and punctual with a commitment to attendance
- Ability to adapt to changes and manage multiple tasks
- Compliance with company policies and safety regulations
- Able to maintain a clean, neat, and professional appearance
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- One to three months related experience or training preferred
- Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English
- Basic math skills including addition and subtraction of two-digit numbers
- Ability to follow detailed oral and written instructions
- Completion of company training programs including food safety and customer service
- Exceptional interpersonal and customer service skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple responsibilities
Job Duties
- Take excellent care of customers by satisfying their needs and exceeding expectations
- Prepare, process, package, and stock products according to Fresh Foods Standards
- Provide courteous and prompt customer service on the sales floor and sales counter
- Unload and restock products following Fresh Foods Receiving and Rotation standards
- Ensure product freshness by checking temperatures and adhering to food safety policies
- Clean and sanitize work areas, including prep rooms, counters, and coolers
- Communicate effectively with customers and team members regarding product locations, promotions, and inquiries
- Operate equipment to prepare and portion food items according to company standards
- Follow company policies on merchandising, product rotation, and markdowns
- Assist in inventory control, price changes, and record maintenance
- Comply with health and safety regulations, reporting hazards and accidents
- Demonstrate adaptability by managing multiple tasks and shifting priorities
- Support and cooperate with fellow associates to complete tasks efficiently
