Job Requirements

Must be at least 18 years of age
Ability to stand and walk for extended periods
Ability to lift and move up to 30 pounds regularly and occasionally up to 50 pounds
Capacity to work in various environmental conditions including hot, cold, and noisy settings
Willingness to adhere to company grooming and dress standards
Dependability and punctuality with advance notice provided for absences or lateness
Ability to communicate clearly in English with customers and coworkers
Willingness to complete all required training programs
Ability to handle and apply chemicals safely according to company guidelines
Ability to follow food safety and sanitation protocols

Job Qualifications

High school diploma or GED
One to three months related experience or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
Ability to read and comprehend simple English instructions and correspondence
Ability to write simple English correspondence
Effective oral communication skills in English
Basic mathematical skills including addition and subtraction involving money and weight
Ability to follow detailed but straightforward instructions
Demonstrated customer service skills
Ability to work well in a team and maintain a positive attitude
Completion of company-required training including food sanitation, safety, and product knowledge

Job Duties

Take excellent care of customers by satisfying their needs and exceeding their expectations
Prepare, process, package, and stock fresh food products according to company standards
Provide exceptional customer service on the sales floor and at the sales counter
Maintain cleanliness and sanitation in work areas including prep rooms, counters, and display cases
Unload, check in, and stock deliveries following food safety and rotation procedures
Decorate and prepare bakery items and create party trays as requested
Operate equipment and handle food products safely and efficiently
Communicate clearly with customers and associates regarding products, promotions, and store information
Follow company policies related to food safety, sanitation, and customer service
Support team members and contribute to a positive work environment
Report safety hazards and accidents promptly
Adapt to changing priorities and multitask during shifts
Complete necessary paperwork accurately and assist with inventory and pricing processes
