Job Requirements
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- Ability to stand, walk, and perform physical tasks for extended periods
- Capability to lift up to 30 pounds regularly and occasionally up to 50 pounds
- Able to work in environments with temperature variations and noise
- Reliable attendance and punctuality
- Ability to handle multiple tasks and adapt to changing priorities
- Ability to follow safety and sanitation guidelines
- Willingness to complete required company training
- Ability to maintain professional appearance and grooming standards
- Effective English communication skills
- Ability to read, write, and understand simple instructions in English
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED preferred
- One to three months related experience or training preferred
- Strong interpersonal and customer service skills
- Ability to communicate clearly in English both verbally and in writing
- Basic math skills for handling money and weight measurements
- Ability to follow written and oral instructions
- Willingness to participate in training programs including food safety and customer service
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team
- Knowledge of food preparation and handling best practices is an asset
Job Duties
- Take excellent care of customers by satisfying their needs and exceeding expectations
- Prepare, process, package, and stock products according to Fresh Foods Standards
- Provide exceptional customer service including answering questions and addressing requests
- Maintain cleanliness of work areas and comply with health and sanitation standards
- Unload and stock merchandise efficiently and properly
- Decorate bakery items and create party trays to customer specifications
- Communicate effectively in English with customers and team members regarding promotions, product location, and service
- Operate equipment safely to prepare and portion products
- Ensure proper refrigeration and product rotation to meet safety standards
- Assist with inventory, price changes, and general department maintenance
- Adhere to safety procedures, report hazards, and maintain a safe working environment
- Follow company policies including punctuality, professional appearance, and conduct
- Support fellow associates and contribute to a positive team environment
