Job Requirements

High school diploma or GED required
Literate with knowledge of basic arithmetic skills
One to two years of food service experience preferred
Customer service experience dealing with hospital personnel, patients, and visitors
Two years of cashiering experience preferred

Job Duties

Operates a cash register according to department and hospital procedures
Handles monetary transactions responsibly
Collects cash, meal tickets, and guest tickets
Makes change as necessary
Locks register when leaving immediate area
Reconciles cash accurately and fills out reconciliation slip precisely including cash, meal tickets, and beginning cash balance
Prepares menu board for successive meals as assigned and reviews pricing with Production Manager
Posts signage for cafeteria meals
Addresses customers courteously and provides directions and helpful information
Maintains a neat and orderly work area
Follows necessary sanitation procedures related to food prep and cleanliness
Prepares food items according to department procedures involving proper food handling and customer satisfaction
