Job Requirements

  • Experience in a hospitality, service, consumer-facing franchise or related field preferred
  • Must have a positive attitude and willingness to learn
  • Must be able to understand and follow established guidelines and procedures
  • Must work well in stressful, high-pressure situations
  • Must be effective at listening to, understanding, clarifying, and resolving concerns of co-workers and guests
  • Must be able to convey information and ideas clearly
  • Must have a desire to serve all guests
  • Must be 18 years of age or older
  • Must be willing to work varied schedules including evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays based on hotel demands
  • Must arrive and clock in on time for every shift and clock out at scheduled times unless directed otherwise
  • Must clock in and out for breaks at designated times
  • Must provide sufficient notice when calling out for scheduled shifts

Job Qualifications

  • Experience in hospitality, service, consumer-facing franchise or related field preferred
  • Positive can-do attitude and willingness to learn
  • Effective listening, conflict resolution, and communication skills
  • Desire to serve and provide outstanding guest service
  • Ability to follow established guidelines and procedures
  • Capacity to work well under pressure and maintain professionalism

Job Duties

  • Greet guests happily upon arrival and throughout their stay with a smile
  • Use guests' names when possible to ensure a welcoming experience
  • Work together as a team to contribute to guest satisfaction scores
  • Handle challenging guest situations promptly and hospitably
  • Maintain strong knowledge of all hotel features and amenities
  • Support all groups and events at the hotel
  • Use relevant technology effectively for the role
  • Answer incoming calls with friendly, approved greetings
  • Keep all workspaces clean and well-organized
  • Contribute to cleaning guest rooms and public areas as needed
  • Greet guests by name with a smile even while cleaning
  • Complete operational checklists accurately and on time
  • Submit accurate and timely shift handover reports
  • Wear clean, approved uniforms and be well-groomed while smiling
  • Communicate clearly, honestly, and professionally with team members
  • Be willing to go beyond traditional roles to meet business needs
  • Collaborate with team members to create a welcoming environment
  • Clear and sanitize breakfast room tables after each guest
  • Set up breakfast buffet according to hotel or brand specifications
  • Clean kitchen according to daily checklists after breakfast period
  • Follow all food safety measures according to local health codes
  • Keep buffet area well-stocked and clean until end of breakfast period
