Job Requirements

  • 2+ years of bartending experience in an upscale or luxury hotel/restaurant bar
  • current alcohol service certification (TIPS, ServSafe Alcohol, or state equivalent)
  • proven cash-handling/POS experience
  • ability to read and execute Banquet Event Orders
  • strong organizational and time-management skills
  • ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 40 lbs

Job Qualifications

  • 2+ years of bartending experience in an upscale or luxury hotel/restaurant bar
  • banquet bar experience a plus
  • Extensive classic and contemporary cocktail knowledge
  • confident with spirit profiles, wine service, and beer styles
  • Current alcohol service certification (TIPS, ServSafe Alcohol, or state equivalent)
  • food handler certification preferred
  • Proven cash-handling/POS experience
  • ability to reconcile tabs and handle room charge procedures accurately
  • Strong guest service and upselling skills
  • ability to personalize recommendations and curate premium experiences

Job Duties

  • Ensure the bar is impeccably set and fully stocked at the start of each shift, including beer, wine, spirits, mixers, paper goods, straws/stirrers, condiments, and fresh produce, based on daily forecasts and event schedules
  • Prepare, label, and properly store all fresh garnishes, juices, and other perishables daily to maintain premium product quality and consistency
  • Welcome guests warmly and professionally
  • guide them through beverage offerings, take and record orders accurately, and craft cocktails to brand standards with precise recipes and portion control
  • Maintain current alcohol service certification (e.g., TIPS or equivalent) and adhere strictly to responsible service policies
  • Uphold the highest sanitation and cleanliness standards at the bar and surrounding areas, following health and safety protocols at all times
  • Review and interpret Banquet Event Orders and daily function sheets to anticipate start times, guest counts, and beverage requirements
