Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- previous experience in beverage or food service preferred
- hold a current Food Handler Card
- knowledge of liquor laws and alcohol service regulations
- basic math skills for cash handling
- ability to stand and walk for long periods
- ability to lift up to 30 pounds
- manual dexterity
- good communication skills
- willingness to work varying shifts according to operational needs
- adherence to company policies and safety procedures
Job Qualifications
- Hold a current Food Handler Card
- knowledge of state, federal and corporate liquor regulations pertaining to serving alcoholic beverages
- basic knowledge of food and beverage preparation and service of alcoholic beverages
- basic mathematical skills to operate cash register and make change
- basic English writing skills
- sufficient manual dexterity to prepare garnishes and handle glassware
- ability to comprehend and communicate in English
- ability to operate beverage equipment
- ability to remember and promote menu items
- ability to apply written product labeling instructions for safety
Job Duties
- Greet guests in a courteous and friendly manner
- promote and document orders for drinks
- mix, garnish and present drinks using standard ingredient recipes
- maintain proper and adequate set-up of the bar daily
- requisition and stock all beer, wine, spirits, paper products, straws, stirrers, condiments and produce
- maintain stock, cutting and storing of all fresh fruit and vegetable garnishes and perishables
- receive cash from guests and make change
- verify validity of charges and record charges
- lock up and store all beverages, food and equipment
- deposit cash drops and secure bank
- answer bar phone and take room service orders courteously
- input orders into point of sale register
- perform general cleaning tasks
- adhere to company policies and procedures
- follow safety and security procedures
- report unsafe conditions and incidents
- maintain neat, clean and well-groomed appearance
- perform related duties as requested by supervisor
- assist other beverage personnel when needed
