Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Six months previous experience working with the public in a customer service role
  • Barista experience preferred
  • Ability to work well with customers as well as co-workers
  • Follow café guidelines concerning guest services, food and physical safety, maintenance and equipment/space cleaning requirements at all times
  • Reach, bend, stoop and frequently lift up to 50 pounds
  • Background check and drug screen required
  • Food Handlers Certification required
  • General office standards of dress and behavior
  • Basic math including addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, fractions and decimals

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Barista experience preferred
  • Experience with catering, fast food service, any prep work or any food handling experience preferred
  • Experience working in kitchens of facilities or institutions that provide meals to large groups of people on a daily basis preferred
  • Basic math skills including addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, fractions and decimals

Job Duties

  • Serve customers coffee and pastry items
  • Stock various stations
  • Possess a friendly, outgoing demeanor
  • Use and cleaning of an espresso machine, blenders, and register system
  • Operate cash register with an accuracy of 99.85 percent
  • Set up appropriate cashier bank
  • Document cash received and charges made
  • Identify customer needs and refer to appropriate department for follow-up when necessary
  • Collect data for cash control
  • Stock refrigerators with beverages, condiments etc.
  • Clean, sanitize, polish general work areas, including sweeping, mopping, vacuuming and throwing trash
  • Prepare and gather items needed for meal service
  • Provide exceptional service to all guests
  • Perform other duties as assigned
