Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- willingness to learn and adapt to company standards
- ability to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays
- strong interpersonal skills
- ability to stand and perform physical tasks during shifts
- basic math skills for cash handling
- commitment to providing excellent customer service
Job Qualifications
- Barista experience is welcome but not required as training is provided
- outgoing and engaging personality
- exceptional communication and relationship-building skills
- ability to multi-task and work efficiently in a fast-paced team environment
- ability to communicate via email, phone, project management software, and conference calls if necessary
Job Duties
- Present a positive image of PJ's to customers and coworkers
- proactively suggest new beverages, drink enhancements, snacks, and pastries to improve customer experience
- prepare all beverages and food items to meet PJ's Coffee specifications and customer satisfaction
- ensure excellent customer service and maintain store upkeep
- follow cash handling procedures accurately
- maintain sanitary, safety, and aesthetic standards by completing daily shift checklists and managing par levels
- alert management to operational needs, equipment failures, and improvements
- enforce and abide by company policies, procedures, and safety rules
- attend training sessions to increase coffee knowledge and work skills and apply that knowledge in operations
