Job Requirements

  • High school or equivalent education preferred
  • prior experience in retail, customer service or a food and beverage operation is preferred
  • Starwood or similar branded, full service hotel experience preferred

Job Duties

  • Educates customers by presenting and explaining the coffee drink menu
  • prepares and sells coffee drinks by following prescribed recipes and preparation techniques for coffee drinks such as espresso, caffe latte, and cappuccino
  • maintains inventories by replenishing coffee bean supply, stocking coffee brewing equipment, maintaining supplies, pastries, and cookies for coffee bar
  • maintains safe and healthy work environment by following organization standards and sanitation regulations
  • improves quality results by studying, evaluating, and re-designing processes, implementing changes, maintaining and improving the appearance of the store and coffee bar
  • works in a cooperative and friendly manner with fellow employees, sets a positive example
  • provides the highest level of guest service to the hotel’s clients
  • maintains professional attire and personal hygiene
  • maintains a clean, neat and orderly work area
  • reads, understands and follows all policies, procedures and practices as stated in the Employee Handbook
  • implements the hotel’s safety and emergency policies and procedures (i.e. evacuation, first aid, etc.) to include removing all safety hazards, following company’s OSHA program, safe lifting techniques
  • promptly reports substandard (unsafe) conditions to Supervisor
  • promptly reports accidents, injuries, property damage or loss to Supervisor
  • informs management promptly of any work-related problems or guest complaints
  • promotes the hotel through goodwill, courtesy and a positive attitude
  • attends all scheduled training classes and meetings
  • continues to learn and grow in your position
  • performs any reasonable request as assigned or directed by management
  • provides for a safe work environment by following all safety and security procedures and rules
  • assists person(s) with a disability
  • complies with all applicable federal, state and local laws ordinances as they apply to the hotel, guest and employees
  • due to the nature of the hospitality industry, employees may be required to work varying schedules to reflect the business needs of the hotel
