Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Ability to stand for extended periods
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Basic math skills for cash handling
- Reliable transportation
- Availability to work flexible schedules including weekends and holidays
- Ability to follow detailed instructions and safety guidelines
Job Qualifications
- Barista experience is not required but preferred
- Outgoing and engaging personality
- Exceptional communication and relationship-building skills
- Ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced, team environment
- Proficient in using various communication channels including email, phone, and project management software
- Willingness to learn and adapt to PJ's Coffee standards
Job Duties
- Present a positive image of PJ's to customers and coworkers
- Proactively suggest new beverages, drink enhancements, snacks, and pastries to improve the overall customer experience
- Prepare all beverages and food to meet PJ's Coffee specifications and ensure customer satisfaction
- Ensure the store offers excellent customer service and maintains physical upkeep
- Follow cash handling procedures accurately
- Maintain sanitary, safety, and aesthetic standards of the store interior and exterior through daily checklists and inventory management
- Alert management to operational needs, equipment failure, and required improvements
- Enforce and abide by company policies, procedures, and safety rules
- Participate in training sessions to increase coffee knowledge and apply new skills to operations
