Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED required
  • At least 1 year prior wait staff experience
  • Ability to lift up to 10 pounds
  • Excellent verbal communication skills
  • Ability to handle difficult situations
  • Must be personable and friendly
  • Availability for flexible scheduling including early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays
  • Commitment to following local and state sanitation codes
  • Positive attitude and professional demeanor

Job Qualifications

  • At least 1 year of prior wait staff experience
  • Excellent verbal and communication skills
  • Ability to handle difficult situations such as disgruntled customers
  • Must be personable, friendly, and provide excellent customer service

Job Duties

  • Provide courteous table service to all dining room guests
  • Welcome guests and take orders
  • Deliver and retrieve all courses promptly
  • Serve meals and drinks using proper serving techniques
  • Accurately record food and beverage charges
  • Set dining room tables with proper linen, china, and silverware prior to service
  • Perform side work duties such as folding napkins, refilling salt and pepper shakers, and organizing supply storage room
  • Ensure compliance with state and local sanitation codes
  • Maintain a positive attitude to create a welcoming first impression
  • Ensure all dining room charges are entered correctly into the POS system and balance sales at shift close
  • Greet customers professionally
  • Complete all side work by the end of the shift
