Job Requirements
- Minimum of two years of experience in a high-volume banquet kitchen
- Superior knife skills and experience with butchery
- California Food Handler's Card required
- Strong knowledge of proper food handling and sanitation standards
- Excellent critical thinking and time management skills
- Flexible schedule as overtime may be required
- Ability to carry, lift, push, and pull up to 40 lbs
- Ability to bend and stoop regularly
- Ability to work with grills, ovens, and stovetops
- Weekend availability
- Night shift availability
Job Qualifications

- Superior knife skills and experience with butchery
- Well versed in cooking temperatures
- California Food Handler's Card required
- Strong knowledge of food handling and sanitation standards
- Excellent critical thinking and time management skills
- Bilingual Spanish preferred but not required
- Flexible schedule availability
Job Duties
- Maintain high standards of personal appearance and grooming including wearing proper uniform
- Have thorough knowledge of menus and preparation required according to hotel standards
- Comply with certification requirements including Food Handlers Safety
- Prepare food items according to guest orders following recipe cards, production, portion, and presentation standards
- Start food items prepared ahead without exceeding estimated needs
- Maintain post on kitchen line during operating hours ensuring efficiency, productivity, and quality
- Prepare banquet food following specifications of Banquet Event Orders
- Operate, maintain, and clean kitchen equipment including deep fryer, broiler, stove, steamer, food processor, mixer, slicer, oven, steam table, tilt kettle, waffle iron, and flat top grill
- Understand ingredients, products, and equipment
- Operate standard kitchen equipment safely and efficiently
- Clean and maintain station practicing good safety and sanitation
- Assist with cleaning and organization of kitchen and equipment
- Restock items as needed
- Practice safe work habits to avoid injury
