Job Requirements
- high school diploma or equivalent
- part-time availability including Monday to Friday afternoon and alternating Saturdays
- relevant banking experience preferred
- strong customer service orientation
- ability to manage cash drawer with accuracy and attention to detail
- adherence to banking security and regulatory policies
- effective communication skills
- reliable and cooperative attitude

Job Duties
- provides quality customer service including maintaining a positive and cooperative attitude at all times
- acknowledges and responds immediately to customers
- greets customers by name and uses it in closing
- makes eye contact and demonstrates friendly non-verbal behavior
- thanks customers for their business
- assists with phone answering as needed
- courteously answers customer questions and directs them to other departments when required
- identifies opportunities to cross-sell bank products and services
- processes customer deposits and withdrawals verifying cash or endorsements and issuing receipts according to procedures
- verifies account information from computer after transactions
- maintains sufficient cash drawer funds and balances the drawer within set limits
- documents all transactions on teller tape to minimize liability
- cashes checks for account holders and approved customers within policy limits
- processes additional transactions including mail and night deposit items under dual control, telephone transfers, money orders, cashiers checks, travelers checks, cash advances, savings bonds, currency and coin orders, counts coin, processes food coupons accurately
- sells excess cash to vault teller to avoid drawer overage
- follows all bank regulations affecting teller operations including BSA, Regulation CC, CIP
- adheres to all bank security policies
- accepts rent payments for safe deposit boxes
- processes daily TT&L payments and money orders
- performs various responsibilities and special projects as assigned by management
