Job Requirements
- A firm commitment to the mission of BYU
- 1+ year full-time equivalent bakery production experience
- physical exam and lift test required
- ability to handle moderate physical effort including lifting 50 lbs to waist and carrying loads
- ability to work in variable temperatures and wet environments
- ability to use proper lifting techniques and ergonomic practices
- ability to operate bakery production equipment safely
- employees must be worthy members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints holding a current temple recommend
Job Qualifications
- A firm commitment to the mission of BYU
- 1+ year full-time equivalent bakery production experience
- 3+ years full-time equivalent bakery production experience preferred
- culinary certification/degree from accredited culinary school preferred
Job Duties
- Learn standard bakery procedures
- produce bread, bagels, doughs, and other baked goods for the campus dining operations
- complete training and food safety courses per CSC requirements
- clean and sanitize bakery equipment and preparation surfaces
- supervise part-time and student employees
- help with production and/or icing of Cougartails during Football Season or when necessary
