Job Requirements

  • Prior baking or pastry experience preferred
  • Ability to follow detailed instructions
  • Strong communication skills
  • Ability to stand for extended periods
  • Willingness to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays

Job Qualifications

  • Prior baking/pastry experience
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills
  • Knowledge of or ability to learn kitchen safety, hygiene, and food handling standards
  • Flexible availability including early mornings, evenings, weekends, and event-based shifts

Job Duties

  • Assist with preparing basic pastry and bakery items such as cookies, muffins, brownies, and cakes using standard recipes
  • Accurately measure, scale, and mix ingredients following directions from senior bakers or chefs
  • Support general bakery operations including mixing, cooking/baking, assembly, setup, decorating, labeling, and proper storage of ingredients and finished products
  • Maintain a clean, organized workstation and ensure proper use, cleaning, and storage of tools and equipment
  • Follow and uphold ServSafe kitchen standards and all food safety and sanitation regulations
  • Assist with inventory tasks such as tracking supplies and reporting low stock
  • Collaborate with the baking team to ensure timely production and high-quality service, especially during peak hours and special events
  • Uphold standards of hospitality, ensuring all guests receive the highest quality food and service
