Job Description

Job Requirements

  • Willingness to work afternoons, nights, weekends, and holidays
  • Ability to exert up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, up to 25 pounds frequently, and/or up to 10 pounds constantly to move objects
  • Ability to work in office environments as well as occasionally in outdoor, confined, warehouse, or vehicle settings
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects from various personnel
  • Capacity to uphold safety standards related to fire and life-safety codes

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalency
  • 0 to 1 years' experience in customer service, client relations, and hospitality or related field, or any equivalent combination of training and/or experience
  • Experience with event management software such as Event Draw and Ungerboeck preferred
  • Strong skills in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and internet programs
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills including writing, proofreading, and public speaking
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Strong prioritization and problem-solving skills in high-stress environments

Job Duties

  • Address complaints and resolve problems while remaining calm under pressure and maintaining exemplary customer service
  • Coordinate with clientele as assigned and review production schedules and room layouts based upon event needs while keeping detailed notes
  • Determine timing and event requirements based upon client requests, meet and enforce deadlines with limited supervision
  • Provide onsite coordination to ensure smooth execution of events including real-time management and troubleshooting
  • Ensure setup of in-house and third-party equipment complies with lease requirements, room layouts, and safety standards related to fire and life-safety codes
  • Direct the work of contract personnel including ushers, security guards, caterers, and decorators
  • Indirectly supervise all event support staff
  • Serve as secondary contact for large-scale events and conferences when assigned
