Job Requirements
- must be 21 years of age or older
- must live within a 15-mile radius between Richmond and Fairfield
- no driving accidents in the past three years
- no more than two tickets in the past three years
- no DUIs in the past seven years
- must be available to work weekends
- must be physically capable of lifting at least 50 lbs repeatedly
- ability to read, comprehend, and follow memos, reports, and instructions
- ability to work with minimal supervision
Job Qualifications
- high school diploma or equivalent
- prior experience in a physically demanding role preferred
- good communication skills to assist patrons effectively
- basic knowledge of safety procedures
- ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- familiarity with local geography within Richmond and Fairfield areas
- valid driver’s license and clean driving record
Job Duties
- visit each Drop Spot regularly to maintain cleanliness and order
- pick up items left outside the collection bins
- empty collection bins and organize donations in carts
- sort clothing and shoes for proper processing
- assist patrons with professionalism and patience
- remove or paint over graffiti at the sites
- monitor surveillance cameras to ensure site security
