Job Requirements
- Must be 21 years of age or older
- No driving accidents in the past three years
- No more than two tickets in the past three years
- No DUIs in the past seven years
- Must be available to work weekends
- Must be physically capable of lifting at least 50 lbs repeatedly
- Ability to read, comprehend, and follow memos, reports, and various written and oral instructions
- Ability to work with minimal supervision
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Strong communication skills for interacting with the public
- Experience in handling and sorting textiles or donations preferred
- Basic knowledge of safety procedures
- Ability to maintain professionalism in community-facing roles
- Valid driver’s license with clean driving record preferred
Job Duties
- Maintain seven Drop Spot locations by visiting each site regularly
- Pick up any textiles left outside collection bins
- Empty collection bins and fill carts inside 20-foot Drop Spots
- Sort clothing and shoes to organize donations properly
- Keep sites clean and free of debris including removing or painting over graffiti
- Distribute flyers to promote Drop Spots and increase community engagement
- Assist patrons with patience and professionalism
- Monitor surveillance cameras for assigned locations to ensure security
