Job Requirements
- Must be 21 years of age or older
- Must have a personal and reliable vehicle with auto insurance including liability and collision coverage
- Must have an acceptable DMV record with no accidents in the past three years, no more than two tickets in three years, and no DUIs in seven years
- Must be available to work Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays
- Must be physically capable of lifting repeatedly to or above 50 lbs
- Ability to read and comprehend written, oral, and diagrammatic instructions
- Must be able to work with minimal supervision
- Must be willing to perform consistent physical exertion including lifting, bending, twisting, and standing for extended periods
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills for assisting patrons
- Patient, tactful, and enthusiastic in public interactions
- Basic organizational skills to maintain collection order
- Physical ability to perform labor-intensive tasks
- Valid driver’s license and acceptable DMV record
Job Duties
- Travel to additional Drop Spot sites in the area as required
- Sort clothing and shoes separately
- Organize all collections in carts inside the Drop Spot
- Keep the site clear of debris or clothing left around the Drop Spot
- Distribute flyers to promote the Drop Spots
- Assist patrons with patience, tact, cheerful disposition, and enthusiasm
- Clean off or paint over graffiti
- Monitor surveillance cameras of assigned Drop Spots
