Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- One year of relevant experience preferred
- Food Handler Certification if applicable
- Alcohol Awareness Certification if applicable
- Ability to prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to learn and retain menu and allergy information
- Basic math skills for accurate billing
- Proficient with POS systems or ability to learn
- Excellent verbal communication skills
- Flexibility to work varied shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays
Job Qualifications
- At least one year of experience in a similar or supportive role
- Food Handler Certification if applicable
- Alcohol Awareness Certification if applicable
- Strong communication skills
- Ability to learn and present detailed product and menu information
- Proficient with restaurant POS systems or ability to learn quickly
- Excellent money handling skills
- Passion for crafting personalized guest experiences
- Highly motivated and able to take initiative
- Flexible availability including evenings, weekends and holidays
Job Duties
- Provide guests with quality customer service by demonstrating excellent knowledge of all menu items
- Serve food and beverages to guests in a punctual, courteous, efficient and accurate manner
- Act as an advocate for the restaurant and create personalized experiences
- Develop relationships with guests that encourage return visits
- Support and assist team members while maintaining cleanliness and safety
- Greet and welcome guests promptly
- Take and process orders accurately using POS system
- Prepare and serve meal accompaniments
- Maintain product knowledge of food, wine and beverage menus
- Address guest complaints by escalating them to management
- Perform sidework
- Open bottled wine for guests
- Set up and break down various stations
- Assist with table setting, bussing, taking to-go orders, seating guests, and answering phones
- Attend required trainings and meetings
- Maintain communication with staff and management
- Take on additional responsibilities as needed
