Job Requirements
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- one year of related work experience
- valid driver’s license
- must obtain non-movement area driving certification upon hire
- ability to work assigned shifts including holidays and report during emergencies
- must successfully pass security threat assessment and criminal history record check
- ability to operate motor vehicle safely in various weather conditions
- ability to perform physical activities such as walking up to one mile and lifting weights up to 25 lbs
- must complete all required Part 139 training
- ability to communicate clearly in oral and written forms
- ability to adapt to changing priorities
- ability to work both indoors and outdoors in all weather conditions
- must be willing to work mandatory overtime as needed
- pass pre-employment drug screening and physical examination
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- one year of related work experience preferred
- valid driver’s license
- non-movement area driving certification (required to be obtained upon hire)
- AAAE C.M. or AAAE ACE Operations preferred, able to obtain within 24 months of hire
- associate’s degree in aviation management or related field preferred
- experience at an FAR Part 139 commercial service airport in airport operations, safety/security, or airline ramp operations preferred
- skill in clear verbal communication using telephone and two-way radios
- ability to organize data and prioritize resources
- ability to work autonomously
- ability to maintain effective working relationships
- strong decision-making aligned with airport policies
- proficiency in troubleshooting and problem-solving
- strong customer service orientation
- excellent organization and time management skills
Job Duties
- Conducts vehicle escorts on the Non-Movement Area
- assists airport stakeholders and public as needed
- acts decisively and exercises independent judgment within established rules, regulations and procedures
- assists with federal programs to comply with FAA and TSA regulations
- enforces airport rules and regulations governing airfield operation
- interprets and adheres to federal, state, and local regulations ensuring safety and security
- formulates comprehensive and concise communications in oral and written form
- completes all required documentation
- responds calmly and effectively during emergency and irregular operations following NIMS/ICS structure
- supports snow, wildlife and construction related duties
- completes all required Part 139 initial and recurrent training
- assists other Airport Operations divisions as needed
- performs additional duties as assigned
- may be assigned to day-to-day Airport Operations duties 24/7/365
