Job Requirements

  • high school diploma, ged or equivalent
  • valid driver’s license
  • port authority or airport authority permit if applicable
  • at least 18 years of age if position requires driving cargo handling equipment
  • ability to work rotating shifts including weekends, holidays and days off
  • ability to lift up to 70 pounds

Job Qualifications

  • ability to communicate effectively in English
  • minimum typing speed of 30 words per minute
  • ability to learn and apply PC skills

Job Duties

  • enter computer data accurately
  • prepare all flight documents according to regulations
  • interface with U.S. Customs for import and export procedures
  • accept and distribute cargo following air carrier and Department of Transportation rules
  • compile customer lists for sales leads
  • solicit customer orders and complete sales
  • quote prices and prepare sales contracts for orders obtained
  • estimate delivery dates based on company schedules
  • move cargo up to 70 pounds
  • comply with site security procedures
  • monitor and report security breaches or suspicious activity
