Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Experience in aviation or aerospace industry
- Experience as a classroom instructor
- Ability to manage basic instructional technology
- Understanding of Common Manufacturing Execution System (CMES) preferred
- Ability to apply adult learning principles
- Ability to facilitate discussion and challenge assumptions
- Physical ability to perform sedentary work including occasional lifting of up to 10 pounds
- Ability to perform repetitive fingertip motions such as typing
- Close visual acuity for monitoring presentations and computer screens
- Ability to work indoors in protected environmental conditions
- Ability to travel to client sites in Renton, WA
- Availability for 1st and 2nd shift instruction
Job Qualifications
- Experience in the aviation/aerospace industry
- Experience as an instructor in a classroom environment
- Manage basic technology to deliver
- Understanding of CMES (Common Manufacturing Execution System) a plus
- Ability to understand adult learning principles
- Ability to challenge learners’ assumptions to expose gap between knowledge, action and beliefs
- Facilitate dialog that helps learner make sense of content and build confidence
- Flexible and resourceful to solve immediate problems and get help when needed
Job Duties
- Utilize teaching aids such as training handbooks, demonstration models, multimedia visual aids, computer tutorials and reference works
- Apply learning techniques to ensure student retention and prove competency in specific tasks and behaviors
- Manage the course training environment to enable the course content to be delivered as designed
- Deliver training sessions covering specified areas of technical specialty
- Deploy learning assessments to measure progress and to evaluate effectiveness of recommended training
- Travel to client sites as needed
- Participate in and prepare to deliver other courses within expertise domain knowledge areas
