Job Requirements
- High school graduate or equivalent preferred
- No prior experience required
- Ability to perform moderate physical effort involving moving furniture and use of cleaning equipment
- Valid state driver’s license may be required
- Ability to obtain NHG housekeeping certification within 6 months
- Completion of safety and security training
- Ability to communicate effectively with supervisors
- Willingness to follow protocols and procedures
- Ability to handle cleaning machinery and hand tools safely
Job Qualifications

- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills

Job Duties
- Cleans guest rooms and other assigned areas
- Operates cleaning equipment such as vacuum cleaner, carpet cleaner, waxer, and polisher
- Empties wastebaskets, dusts, waxes and polishes room furniture
- Washes walls, partitions, air vents, and disinfects and deodorizes toilets and lavatories
- Cleans bathroom and kitchen areas including appliances and floors
- Cleans and maintains ironing boards and luggage racks
- Ensures TVs, alarm clocks, and phones are clean and properly programmed
- Restocks amenities and replaces bed linen
- Greets and welcomes guests while maintaining outstanding guest relations
- Maintains privacy and security of guests
- Cleans corridors, stairways, laundry areas, patios, and balconies
- Performs scheduled deep cleaning and carpet shampooing
- Maintains orderliness of storage rooms
- Communicates status of cleaned rooms to supervisors
- Performs minor equipment repairs and reports major issues
- Cleans and inspects exterior spaces
- Loads and unloads supplies and merchandise
- Manages keys and reports unusual circumstances
- Reports lost and found items
- Sets up and cleans complimentary breakfast bar
- Completes safety and security training
- Maintains clean and safe environment following safety protocols
- Operates laundry facilities
- Travels to other lodging facilities as required
- Obtains housekeeping certifications
- Performs other related duties as assigned
