Job Requirements

  • At least 18 years of age
  • Previous server experience highly preferred
  • Six months or more in long term care, home care or related field preferred
  • Experience using POS (point-of-sale) transactional systems
  • Must possess effective English verbal and written communication skills
  • Must pass a background check and pre-employment drug screen
  • May need to complete other pre-employment screenings such as physical, fingerprint, and TB test as required by state/local guidelines

Job Duties

  • Assist residents with meal selection including ordering from menu, buffet or a la carte item selection, and assistance with buffet stations
  • Present menu to residents, answer questions and make suggestions regarding meal choices
  • Record orders and relay to kitchen production area
  • Work efficiently and quickly deliver food to residents, aiding them as needed
  • Clear, clean, and reset tables for next meal service
  • Assist with light back of house/kitchen duties such as salad bar, soup service, portion desserts, brew coffee
  • Assist with clearing tables
  • Observe residents to ensure safety in dining areas
  • Perform other duties as assigned
