Job Requirements

  • At least 18 years of age
  • Previous server experience highly preferred
  • Six months or more in long term care, home care or related field preferred
  • Software experience using POS transactional systems
  • Must possess effective English verbal and written communication skills
  • Must pass a background check and pre-employment drug screen
  • May need to complete other pre-employment screenings such as physical, fingerprint, and TB test as required by state or local guidelines

Job Duties

  • Assist residents with meal selection, including ordering from menu, buffet, or a la carte item selection, and assistance with buffet stations as needed
  • Present menu to residents, answer questions and make suggestions regarding meal choices, record orders and relay to kitchen production area
  • Work efficiently and quickly deliver food to residents, aiding them as needed
  • Clear, clean, and reset tables for next meal service
  • Assist with light back of house/kitchen duties including salad bar, soup service, portion desserts, brew coffee or other services as needed
  • Observe residents to ensure safety in dining areas
  • Perform other duties as assigned
