Job Requirements

  • Must be at least 18 years of age
  • Previous server experience highly preferred
  • Six months or more in long-term care, home care, or related field preferred
  • Experience with POS (point-of-sale) software systems
  • Effective English verbal and written communication skills
  • Must pass background check and pre-employment drug screen
  • May need to complete other pre-employment screenings such as physical, fingerprinting, and TB test as required by state or local guidelines

Job Qualifications

  • At least 18 years of age
  • Previous server experience highly preferred
  • Six months or more experience in long-term care, home care, or related field preferred
  • Experience using point-of-sale (POS) transactional systems
  • Effective English verbal and written communication skills

Job Duties

  • Assist residents with meal selection, including ordering from menu, buffet, or a la carte selections as needed
  • Present menu to residents, answer questions and make suggestions
  • Record orders and relay to kitchen production area
  • Deliver food efficiently to residents, providing assistance as needed
  • Clear, clean, and reset tables for subsequent meal service
  • Assist with light back-of-house kitchen duties such as salad bar, soup service, dessert portioning, and coffee brewing
  • Observe residents to ensure safety in dining areas
  • Perform other duties as assigned
