Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent education training and experience
  • minimum of five years experience as executive chef including administration and management of food service programs
  • culinary degree from an accredited school preferred
  • must hold current state-required sanitation certification or license
  • advanced knowledge of local health department OSHA and state regulations
  • strong communication skills in English oral and written
  • leadership ability in employee incentive retention and training programs
  • proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent education training and experience
  • culinary degree from an accredited school preferred
  • minimum of five years experience as executive chef including administration and management of food service programs
  • senior living community experience preferred
  • expertise in artisan cuisine menu development and contemporary culinary trends
  • knowledge of health nutrition trends and diets offered per policy and procedure
  • advanced knowledge of local health department OSHA and state regulations
  • leadership of employee incentive retention and training programs
  • proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite products
  • strong communication skills oral and written in English ability to communicate in Spanish preferred
  • current state-required sanitation certification or license such as Safe Food Handling or Certified Food Manager

Job Duties

  • Provide hospitality leadership championing a guest-centric culture with personalized service and memorable dining experiences
  • implement an artisan culinary program designing innovative seasonal menus that celebrate craftsmanship and fresh ingredients meeting dietary and regulatory requirements
  • demonstrate emotional intelligence and team development by leading with empathy and authenticity cultivating trust and respect while mentoring staff
  • maintain operational excellence ensuring impeccable standards of cleanliness presentation and organization collaborating with executive leadership and peer culinary directors
  • practice financial stewardship by developing and managing budgets balancing creativity with fiscal responsibility
  • drive resident engagement by building meaningful connections completing table-touches and actively seeking feedback to enhance culinary offerings and satisfaction
  • leverage strong vendor partnerships collaborating with purveyors to source premium ingredients and artisan products
  • champion hands-on culinary expertise demonstrating mastery in cooking techniques presentation and efficiency
  • align culinary services with organizational mission vision and values driving innovation and continuous improvement
  • embody mission vision and values of transforming age and commitment to culture of excellence and strategic goals
  • perform other duties as assigned
