Job Requirements
- 1-2 years of experience as a cook or chef preferably in a senior living community
- Ability to prepare high quality food for residents
- Able to work holidays and pre-planned events
- Maintain professional relationships with food and equipment vendors
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to prepare therapeutic or modified diets
- Successful completion of recognized food safety course

Job Duties
- Ensure compliance with resident dietary restrictions
- Conduct regular Quality Assurance Audits
- Maintain kitchen food safety and sanitary food handling practices in compliance with King County and DSHS regulations
- Maintain professional relationships with food and equipment vendors
- Hire, orient, train, and evaluate kitchen staff
- Supervise and assign duties to production and utility personnel
- Create a motivating environment that encourages employee involvement, creativity, and problem solving
- Assume the responsibilities of the Executive Chef in his absence
- Perform other duties as assigned
