Job Requirements
- a high school diploma or equivalent
- two years of parks or building and grounds maintenance experience
- a valid driver's license and a clean driving record
- successful completion of a background investigation with fingerprinting
- successful completion of a pre-employment physical
Job Qualifications
- a high school diploma or equivalent
- two years of parks or building and grounds maintenance experience
- knowledge of the use of materials, equipment and procedures necessary for parks and building maintenance
- knowledge of hazards and safety precautions common to parks and building maintenance
- ability to perform manual labor for extended periods of time and in all kinds of weather
- ability to work effectively with other employees, agencies and the public
Job Duties
- assist in designs and monitors maintenance and improvement projects on properties administered by the building services department
- plan, organize, assign and review work of inmate crews in accordance with established goals, objectives and authorized work plan
- assist in developing the annual work plans
- coordinate landscape maintenance projects
- perform snow removal and building maintenance as needed
- perform skilled duties in the operation of hand tools, power tools and equipment
- perform repairs and preventive maintenance to grounds and snow removal equipment
- perform related work, as required
- may be reassigned during emergency situations
