Job Requirements

  • Must be at least 18 years of age
  • Minimum of 2 years of culinary experience focusing on high volume production
  • Culinary education degree or equivalent experience if less than 2 years
  • Strong communication and organizational abilities
  • Demonstrated leadership and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to handle difficult situations calmly
  • Passion for culinary excellence and guest delight
  • Must understand knife skills and their use
  • Positive and helpful attitude towards guests and team members
  • Excellent guest service skills including service recovery
  • Knowledge of culinary terminology and techniques
  • Food safety certification or equivalent
  • Ability to operate technology like plate costing buffet system, CAFÉ system, KDS, Workbrain
  • Flexibility to work varied shifts including days, nights, weekends, holidays, and special events

Job Qualifications

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in culinary field with a focus on high volume production
  • Culinary education degree or equivalent experience
  • Strong communication and organizational skills
  • Proven leadership and interpersonal skills in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to troubleshoot and stay calm under pressure
  • Passion for culinary arts and guest satisfaction
  • Ability to read and understand recipes
  • Food safety certification or equivalent
  • Proficiency with kitchen technology systems
  • Flexibility to work various shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays

Job Duties

  • Prepare and cook high-quality food items following established recipes and presentation standards
  • Manage kitchen stations and maintain cleanliness and organization
  • Collaborate with other chefs and kitchen staff to ensure timely and efficient service
  • Monitor food quality and consistency
  • Maintain health and safety standards in the kitchen
  • Contribute to menu development and innovation
  • Handle special dietary requests and food allergies with care
