Job Requirements
- Less than high school graduation but sufficient to perform assigned tasks and meet required knowledge, skills, and abilities
- Must reside within two-hour driving radius of Guilford County
Job Qualifications
- Knowledge of the organization and functions of the department
- Knowledge of town policies and procedures
- Knowledge of principles and techniques to provide customer and personal services including assessment of customer needs, meeting quality standards for services, and evaluation of customer satisfaction
- Basic math skills with ability to add, subtract, multiply, or divide quickly and correctly
- Ability to communicate with the public tactfully and courteously
- Ability to work without immediate and direct supervision
- Ability to maintain effective working relationships with other employees
- Ability to arrange things or actions according to specific rules or patterns
Job Duties
- Clean countertops, dust areas, sweep and clean bathrooms to maintain the facility
- Greet patrons and answer questions, provide information on procedures or policies
- Calculate total payments received during a time period and reconcile with total sales
- Record pool admissions
- Compute and record totals of transactions
- Count money in cash drawers at the beginning of shifts to ensure amounts are correct and adequate change is available
- Identify prices of goods sold and admission fees and tabulate bills using calculators and cash registers
- Issue receipts, refunds, credits, or change due to customers
- Perform related duties as required
