Job Requirements
- Minimum age of 14 to 18 depending on position
- ability to work scheduled hours including evenings and weekends
- good physical condition and ability to perform required tasks
- willingness to undergo training where provided
- high school diploma or equivalent preferred for coordinator and leadership roles
- dependable and punctual
- effective communication skills
- ability to work well with children and adults
- possession of certifications when required
Job Qualifications
- Prior experience working with youth
- strong knowledge of relevant sports or activities
- excellent customer service and communication skills
- leadership abilities for coordinator roles
- valid driver’s license for certain positions
- current lifeguard certification for lifeguard role
- prior USFS/ISI skating background for figure skating roles
- ability to work independently and multitask
- ability to lift and carry up to 25 pounds
Job Duties
- Teaching basic sports skills and fundamentals to youth
- assisting with setup and teardown of events and programs
- supervising participants and ensuring safety
- interacting with parents, coaches, and community members
- managing equipment and facility operations
- tracking attendance and handling money
- enforcing rules and regulations during recreational activities
