Job Requirements

  • Valid Class C California Driver's License or ability to obtain within 10 days of hire
  • Safe driving record
  • Possession of CPR, AED, and First Aid certification from a nationally accredited organization
  • Ability to work varied schedules including 4/10, 9/80, or 5/80 shifts
  • Ability to work under general supervision
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain certifications throughout employment
  • Ability to perform physical and background checks

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Experience in recreational program planning and coordination
  • Ability to supervise and lead staff effectively
  • Knowledge of safety procedures and participant supervision
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and events
  • CPR and first aid certification

Job Duties

  • Plan, implement, and schedule recreation programs, activities, and events
  • Oversee safety and supervision of recreational participants
  • Assist in preparation and operation of large programs and special events
  • Lead and conduct various recreational activities across facilities
  • Supervise and train part-time, contract, and volunteer staff
  • Coordinate event logistics including permits, contracts, and promotional materials
  • Maintain facility use permits and ensure compliance with policies and regulations
